Street Photography/Photo Essay Workshop

Where & When

Monday 16th July 6:00am - 4:00pm

Starting at the Langham Place Hotel at 6:00am you will be breifed by Mike and Jackie before heading out into the streets to shoot your assignment. After shooting you will return to the Hotel where you images will be assessed, critqued and a group debreif will finish off the session at 4:00pm

Requirements

Please bring note taking materials, and Your Own Camera Equipment. You will be shooting in the feild. Make sure your batteries are charged and you membery cards are empty.

About Mike and Jackie

Mike Langford

Mike’s passion is travel photography and travel book publishing with over 26 books to his name. Mike is a Master Photog. III and Fellow III of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) and a Fellow and Honorary Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography (NZIPP). He has been a professional photographer for over 30 years and an International Awards judge and lecturer for 25 years. He has been awarded Australian Geographic Photographer of the Year, NSW AIPP Photographer of the Year, twice AIPP Landscape Photographer of the Year, the NZIPP Photographer of the Year, NZIPP Corporate/Industrial Photographer of the Year and NZIPP Landscape Photographer of the Year and is the current AIPP Travel Photographer of the Year. He is also the President of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography, an EOS Master & is co director the Queenstown Centre for Creative Photography with his wife Jackie Ranken. www.qccp.co.nz

Jackie Ranken

Jackie’s focus is to express her creative spirit through her images. Jackie Master Photog.IV of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, Fellow III of the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography. She has been a professional Photographer for 30 years and an international awards judge for 10 years. She has been awarded Australian Institute of Professional Photography Photographer of the Year, twice Australian Landscape Photographer of the Year, runner up in the World Press awards for documentary Photography, the New Zealand Professional Photographer of the Year, Creative Photographer of the Year twice and Illustrative Photographer of the Year three times and Landscape Photographer of the year twice. She is also co director of the Queenstown Centre for Creative Photography with her husband Mike Langford. www.qccp.co.nz
